Salvation Army
The Hydro Hotel handed over a cheque for £200.00 to the Salvation Army after the Salvation Songsters gave a Carol recital during the festive period at the Hydro.

Chris's Huge Morrow and Pumpkin Chris and his Allotment Team have come up trumps again with 2 of the biggest Morrow and Pumpkin to grace our table. They will be on display in the main lounge at the Hydro and if you want to enter our Guess the Weight competition all the info is there too. Well Done Chris for another fine effort and a total of £395.00 raised which has been added to our local charity pot.

McMillan Coffee Morning The Hydro held a Charity Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September 2011 in the Garden Suite in Aid of the McMillan Cancer Research. Fiona Hosford played her harp throughout the Morning. Local Artist Margaret Tourton from Beauty Spot displayed gifts and pictures and Jan from the Very Nice Handbag Company brought along a great selection of Handbag. The morning raised £400.00 for Macmillan and we would like to say Thank you for everyone's support.

Chestnut Tree House The Hydro Duo Ian Turnbull and Zoe Allcott-Wells raised £500.00 when they took part in the Chestnut Tree House 10k South Cost Run. Although there was a slight error on the day and it turned out to be 11k. Our finishing times were - Ian ran 11k in 59:45 (54:00 for the 10k) and Zoe ran 11k in 1:13.05 (1:06 for the 10k). Thank you for all your Support for the Chestnut Tree House.

Hydro Garden Fete Sunday 7th August 2011 A fantastic time was had by all at our 2nd Annual Garden Fete helping raise funds for Rockinghorse and the Sussex Air Ambulance Trust. The Mayor of Eastbourne opened the fete and Local MP Stephen Lloyd also helped out on the day. Over £1500.00 was raised and a big Thank you goes out to everyone who helped support the day.

Hands of Compassion Hydro Chairman Greme King was delighted to make it to the top of Killamanjaro and raise £3000.00 for the Hands of Compassion charity. Thank you to all that supported him and this cause.

South Downs Community Special School Team Hydro took part in the Eastbourne Half Marathon on Sunday 6th March 2011 to help raise money for new equipment at the South Downs Community Special School. Seven runners braved the cold winds and the 13 miles and we will be handing over a cheque for £1000.00 raised from the run. Thanks to everyone who supported us..

St Dunstan's The Hydro were very pleased to hand over a cheque for £2000.00 to St Dunstan's. St Dunstan's is at Ovingdean, near brighton and we were given a tour of the facilities and shown the good work they do. Demelza Hospice Care for Children A cheque for £2000.00 together with 2 Teddy Bears was presented to Vicki Pickering for the Demelza Hospice Care for Children. We have been busy throughout 2010 raising money for many charities and were very pleased to be able to hand over this amount to Demelza Hospice. Merry Christmas The Hydro Hotel was pleased to donate a number of gifts that will benifit some young children in the local area helping make their Christmas a little more special this year.

Charity Garden Fete Over £2500.00 was raised at the Hydro Hotel's Garden Fete on Sunday 1st August 2010. The money raised will go towards our chosen charites for 2010, St Dunstan's and Delmelza Hospice Care for Children. A big thank you to all the Staff who gave up their time to run the event and all our local suppliers and guest who gave us donations for the stalls and raffle. Final Special Thanks go to Michael Fish for opening our fete and helping us on the day.

Chestnut Tree House The Girls from the Hydro raised over £1200 when they took part in the Chestnut Tree House's Midnight Walk on the 3rd July 2010.

Cancer Research UK Students from the local Eastbourne Park College put on a Charity Morning Coffee in aid of Cancer Research UK and helped raise £379.00 for the charity. The Hydro Hotel donated the Venue and refreshments for the event. Well done to all the students for their hard work on this event.

St Wilfrids Hospice Over £400.00 was raised by Simon Bibby when he took part in the Sky Diving Challenge for St Wilfrids Hospice. Simon jumped from 12,000 feet to help raise money for the hospice.

St Wilfrids Hospice The Hydro Hotel were crowned the pancake kings and queens and congratulated by Mayor of Eastbourne. Suzanna Da Silva our Deputy Head Receptionist was first to cross the line on a very wet morning. Well done to all six of the Hdyro Team for taking part.

Friends of the South Downs Community School General Manager Ian Turnbull along with his wife Alison and friend Alison Turner all took part in the Eastbourne Half Marathon to raise money for the Friend of the South Downs Community Special School. They raised a total of £1250.00 for the school.

Breast Cancer Support £600.00 was raised during the Christmas and New Year Period which was donated to Breast Cancer Research.

National Autistic Society Ian Turnbull took park in the Royal Parks Half Marathon to help raise awareness and funds for the National Autistic Society. Total of £800.00 was raised.

Breast Cancer The hotel staff took part in the wear it Pink day and helped raised £175.00 for Breast Cancer.

South Downs Community School £140.00 was raise after Chris Greenacre ran a guess the weight of his Giant Marrow that he grew at home. The marrow weighed in at a whopping 78lb.

MacMillan Cancer Support The Hydro took part in the worlds biggest coffee morning when we held an event for the Macmillan Cancer Support. Hannah Francis organised the coffee morning and £375.00 was raised

Bristish Heart Foundation Salena Round took part in the London to Brighton bike ride raising over £600.00 for the British Heart Foundation.

NSPCC £500.00 was given to the NSPCC raised by the staff over the Christmas and New Year Period
